Mettet (Belgium), 6 October 2023 – The SM Junior riders took part in the free practices with Nathan Terraneo (KTM) being the fastest of both free practice sessions. The young Swiss rider is used to riding at city circuits and proved to be the best on this type of track.
Free practices 1 SM Junior
Nathan Terraneo (KTM) had a great feeling with the track, in fact the Swiss rider did not struggle too much to set the best time finishing in front of red plate holder Matej Kokes (Husqvarna) and teammate Riccardo Andreotti (KTM). Andrea Benvenuti is battling it out for the victory against Kokes and did not take any risks, eventually qualifying fourth.

Free practices 2 SM Junior
In the second free practice session riders opened the throttle and reduced their lap timings. Nathan Terraneo was once again the fastest with seven tenths of a second faster than second qualified Matej Kokes. Andrea Benvenuti got comfortable with the city circuit of Mettet and was third, 7 thousandths away from his closest rival.
Tomorrow morning the SM Junior young riders will get to the track for the time practice, and we will see who will start from the pole position of the first race.
