Martigny (Switzerland) , 5 December 2023 – The 2023 FIM Awards Ceremony was successfully staged for the first-ever time in Great Britain at the striking ACC Liverpool in the heart of the historic city. The prestigious end of season ceremony saw this year’s FIM World Champions receive their gold medals headed by FIM President Jorge Viegas.
Saturday 2nd December evening Marc Reiner Schmidt was awarded with a gold medal from FIM Motocross Legends Dave Thorpe and Livia Lancelot as 2023 FIM S1GP SuperMoto World Champion together with all 2023 World Champions of all motorcycle disciplines.
FIM President Jorge Viegas then returned to the stage to hand out the Team category medal winners that comprised FIM Junior SuperMoto of Nations and FIM SuperMoto of Nations – France.
