St. Wendel 31st May 2025 – The Ukrainian rider Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) struggled in St. Wendel during the practices and had to watch out from wild card Paul Niewoehner (Husqvarna), who breathed on his neck. Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna) was third.
SM Junior Free Practices
The SM Junior riders were the first to ride at the city circuit of Sankt Wendel. Championship leader Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) immediately set the pace and showed one more time his ability to find the right feeling with the track from the very beginning. The Ukrainian rider had to face German rider Paul Niewoehner (Husqvarna), who stayed very close to his rival, while Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna) set the third best time.

SM Junior Time Practice
Ukrainian Kovalov made no mistakes in St. Wendel, but unlike the previous races, this time Yevsevii had to manage the attacks received from wild card Paul Niewoehner, who took second place. Iovita and Lorenz Bang battled it out for the third spot of the front row. Iovita set the best time but could not keep it because of the track limit. The outcome of the qualifying was uncertain till the end with four riders trying to take the pole position, which is crucial in St. Wendel to dispute solid races. Kovalov had to do his best to come home with the third seasonal pole position. The Ukrainian rider will look forward to reaching another victory but this time he will have to do his very best.
