Tramatza 10 May – Thanks to an excellent performance, Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse) came home with his first pole position and the victory of race one. The French achieved his very first success in the top class. Second place went to Lukas Hollbacher (Schruf Racing) and third spot to Marc Reiner Schmidt (Team 11). In the Rookies Cup the victory was taken by Jan Ulman (Team 11).
Time practice & Superpole S1GP
The qualifying session offered a thrilling show at the Sardinia Circuit of Tramatza. The fastest rider, starting from the free practices, was Lukas Hollbacher (Schruf Racing), who adapted well to the technical Sardinian circuit. Hollbacher was chased by Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse), who seems to have regained a good feeling with his bike after the off-color Spanish round. Marc Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) was not determined as on other occasions and had to feel happy with third place. Fourth spot went to Julien Avila Cortes (KTM Mtr) and Elia Sammartin (Team BRT) finished fifth.
In Q2 the top nine riders battled it out for the top three and the pole position, and there were no big changes in the standings with the top three riders who confirmed their supremacy.
Q3 was breathtaking. Marc Reiner Schmidt was the first to get to the track, but a few imperfections gave him no chance to confirm the time set in Q2, losing over 4 tenths of a second. Steve Bonnal, thanks to a smooth riding style on the tarmac and an aggressive one on the off-road, confirmed his time strengthening it by 40 tenths. The last rider to get to the track was Austrian Lukas Hollbacher who lost the best time set in Q1 and Q2 and had to feel happy with third place.
The best Rookie rider was Jan Ulmann, seventh in the overall standings.

Race One
As the red lights blinked off Steve Bonnal stretched away and took the lead of the race. Mar Reiner Schmidt was unsure of fully releasing the clutch and was overtaken by Lukas Hollbacher. The battle between the two allowed Bonnal to run away and open a gap. Julen Avila Cortes and Elia Sammartin followed the top three challengers. The Italian rider tried to attack his rival but made a mistake in the off-road, giving the fourth position to Avila. At the front the battle raged on. Hollbacher and Schmidt worked their way up and moved closer to the race leader but in the final laps Bonnal was able to open a small gap and won his first race of the World Championship. In the penultimate lap Marc Reiner Schmidt tried to overtake Hollbacher, but the Austrian rider did not surrender and qualified second, with the German rival in third place.
Excellent performance for young Jan Ulman in the Rookie, who qualified in front of Francisco Gomez Requena. Mitja Krasniqi was third.
