Tramatza 10 May – Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) ruled the day and came home with the pole position after the first race of the weekend. In Sardinia, the SM Junior class will face three races instead of the usual two. Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna) was the author of an excellent performance and finished in front of David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna).
SM Junior Free Practices
The first practices at the Sardinia Circuit repeated the same scenario of the Spanish finale with Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) being the fastest rider on track. The Ukrainian challenger did not push that much and tried to open the best trajectory, chased by David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna) who managed the gap well. Third place went to Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna).

SM Junior Time Practice
In the time practice Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) increased the rhythm trying to reach his limit. Thanks to the perfect and impeccable riding style the Ukrainian rider took the pole position with almost a 2-second advantage over his closest chaser Mark Luca Iovita. David Zsolt Bereczki rounded off the front row.

SM Junior Race 1
At the start of the first race Bereczki pulled away from third place taking Kovalov by surprise, but the young Ukrainian rider did not let him go and took the lead back in the second lap, opening a small gap. Behind the top two riders Iovita tried to move back to second place and the Romanian rider was so determined that he moved to second place in the off-road section. Courtesy of a thrilling racing pace Yevsevii Kovalov crossed the finish line with an advantage of more than 10 seconds over Mark Luca Iovita, second qualified, and David Zsolt Bereczki in third place.
