Tramatza 11 May – Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) came home with the victory of the GP of Sardegna thanks to today’s double triumph. The Ukrainian rider was the protagonist of a solid, but not perfect, start of the race with an unbeatable rhythm that none of his rivals could keep. Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna) was second and David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna) was third.
SM Junior Race 2
The first lap of the Junior second race was filled with emotions. Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) made a mistake at the start and was third in the first corner, but courtesy of his supremacy the Ukrainian rider took the lead in the first lap and thanks to a strong race pace won the second race with a solid gap over rivals. Behind the leader, there was a hard fought battle for second place. Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna) and David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna) battled it out throughout the whole race and eventually Iovita took the second spot.

SM Junior Race 3
Iovita overtook Kovalov after the first laps and tried to hold the lead tight, but the Ukrainian rider kept an eye on his rival to examine him and overtook Iovita in the sixth lap. As for the previous races, Kovalov’s race pace was unreachable for Iovita and Bereczki who qualified second and third respectively.
Yevsevii Kovalov won the fifth round in a row and moved to the top of the overall standings. If the Ukrainian rider continues with this rhythm he will probably try to come home with the perfect season.
