TRIPLE VICTORY FOR MELVIN VIOLA, DAVID ZSOLT BERECZKI WINS THE HOME GP

Visonta (Hungary) – 13 July – Thanks to three amazing triumphs Melvin Viola (Honda) came home with the victory of the GP of Hungary and strengthened the gap in the standings over Adrien Sarda (Honda). The SM Junior offered a great show where home hero David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna) took the victory and prevailed over Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) and Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna).

 

S2 Race 2

Twice this weekend Nathan Terraneo (GasGas) did not make the best out of his pole position losing four positions in the first corner when Melvin Viola (Honda) took the lead of the race in front of Adrien Sarda (Honda). Djamal Juste Watt (Honda) was third. Terraneo tried to move to third place for several laps and struggled in his attempt, but after taking it the Swiss rider chased the front riders. Unfortunately, Terraneo crashed, losing several positions and eventually qualified in ninth position. The battle for the victory was hard fought for all the 14 laps of the race with Melvin Viola who left no chance to his main rival and took the chequered flag with a small gap of three tenths of a second over Adrien Sarda. Djamal Juste Watt was third.

S2 Race 3

Race2 winner Melvin Viola slipped during the warmup lap in the off-road session but could start the race regularly. This time too Nathan Terraneo did not make the best out of the pole position and had to give up two places. The Swiss rider clinched the second spot in the first lap prevailing over Adrien Sarda. Melvin Viola took advantage of the battle going on behind him and opened up a gap so that he could rule the race and take the victory. Nathan Terraneo was second and Adrien Sarda third despite a small mistake made in the final moments of the race.

Melvin Viola stepped on the highest step of the podium joined by Sarda and Nathan Terraneo, who was third overall courtesy of the second place taken in Race3.

SM Junior Race 1

At the start of the SM Junior Race1 a rider on the third row opened the gas before the start making noise but creating no issues for the other riders. Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) pulled away perfectly from the pole position with an unbeatable race pace for his rivals. The Ukrainian rider opened the gas and opened a solid gap over rivals winning a solo race. Behind him there was a dog fight between home hero, Hungarian David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna), and Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna). The two young riders were the protagonists of a tough battle and when Iovita made a mistake in the last laps Bereczki got the green light and moved forward eventually taking second place.

SM Junior Race 2

At the start Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) was caught off guard by his two rivals, David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna) and Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna), but the Ukrainian rider moved back to the front in the first lap and it seemed the race had a winner. Kovalov made a mistake in the fourth lap and crashed so that home rider Bereczki took the lead and was chased by Iovita. The duo battled it out for the rest of the race offering a great show. Iovita tried to prevail over his rival in the final lap but crashed. David Zsolt Bereczki won Race2 and came home with the victory of his home GP. Second place went to Yevsevii Kovalov and Mark Luca Iovita was third.
