ALESSANDRO MOROSI WINNER OF THE S4 RACE1 AND NATHAN TERRANEO STAR OF THE S2. KOVALOV WAS THE FASTEST OF THE SM JUNIOR.

Busca – 6 September – The first verdicts of Saturday have been disclosed at the Busca Kart Planet. Alessandro Morosi (Gazza Racing) came home with the victory of the S4 European Championship and Nathan Terraneo won the S2. The Ukrainian rider Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) took the pole position in the SM Junior.

 

S4 Time Practice:

There were two main protagonists in the S4 qualifying. The Spanish rider Julen Avila Cortes (MTR Ktm Racing), who decided to join the European Championship but not the World Championship as he did in the first three races of the season, earned the pole position after battling it out with unstrained Alessandro Morosi (Gazza Racing) – standings leader for most of the session. Third place went to another Italian rider, Edoardo Bertola (Gazza Racing) while the second row of the grid will be led by Theo Rafael Gourdon who qualified in front of his brother, Alex, both on Husqvarna bikes. Izan Galot Travieso (GasGas) was sixth.

S4 Race 1:

As the red lights went off Julen Avila Cortes (MTR Ktm Racing) could not make the best out of the pole position giving the green light to Alberto Morosi (Gazza Racing), who took the lead, followed by Alex Rafael Gourdon (Husqvarna). Spanish Avila overtook his compatriot in the first lap and started chasing Morosi. Both top riders opened a gap over rivals and were the protagonists of a thrilling show. Halfway through the race the Honda rider gained a small advantage and it seemed like he could handle it but a small imperfection in the first corner of the penultimate lap gave Avila the chance to move forward but eventually failed. Alberto Morosi came home with the victory of the first race. There was a tough battle for third place among the Gourdon brothers and Bertola with Alex Rafael who came out on top.

S2 Time Practice:

In the S2 class, reserved to 250 4-strokes and 125 2-strokes, Nathan Terraneo (GasGas) was the only master in fact the Swiss rider immediately felt comfortable at the Busca Kart Planet and thanks to an incredible time the rider stayed in front of red plate holder Melvin Viola (Honda). The French rider, current series leader, kept behind his main rival for the title, compatriot Adrien Sarda (Honda) who finished with the third place. Excellent performance for Leonardo Lapadula (Team 11), fourth.

S2 Race 1:

As the red lights blinked off pole man Nathan Terraneo did not make the best out of his first place and was overtaken by Melvin Viola who took the lead of the pack in the first corner. In the first laps the duo opened a gap over the other riders and Terraneo studied his rival before taking the lead of the race. The Swiss rider moved forward and opened a solid gap over Viola who increased his race pace and controlled his main rival Adrien Sarda, in third. Thrilling battle between Noah Champagne (Tm Moto) and Leonardo Lapadula (Team 11) who tried several times to overtake his rival but never made it and eventually ended up in fifth place. At the end of the first race Melvin Viola increased his advantage over Adrien Sarda by a few points.

SM Junior Free practice:

After the setback in Hungary, in Busca Yevsevii Kovalov (Husqvarna) had to leave the victory to Bereczki who took back the usual position he held during the first part of the season. Kovalov’s race pace was impressive from the first laps and none of his rivals could get any closer to his rhythm. David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna) was second and Mark Luca Iovita (Husqvarna) was third.

SM Junior Time practice:

No change of the main protagonist was seen in the qualifying where Kovalov proved once again to be at a higher level compared to the other riders and main rival Bereczki, thanks to an 8-second gap. Iovita rounded off the front row. A mention for the two female riders who lined up at the start, Lina Suikkanen (Husqvarna) and Liliana Irzik (KTM), who performed well .
