METTET IS READY TO HOST THE GRAND FINALE OF THE FIM SUPERMOTO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Mettet (Belgium) 8 October 2025 – The coming weekend, Mettet will host the so awaited and final race of the 2025 FIM SuperMoto World Championship which will come to an end after a thrilling season filled with unexpected turn of events.

 

German Marc Reiner Schmidt already clinched the World title with one race to go after being the protagonist of an exciting racing season full of victories. Now the focus will be on the battle for the runner-up spot in the World Championship standings where Lukas Hollbacher and Steve Bonnal want to prevail. Hollbacher will be back on track feeling confident after the triumph reached with his home team at the Supermoto of Nations. Young French Bonnal is determined to come back home with the best result he can achieve.

 

The top riders will be joined by Elia Sammartin, currently in fourth place in the standings, who will be looking forward to ending the season with a prestigious result. It is also worth pointing out that Mattia Rato made his debut in the World Championship and was the main revelation of the latest edition of the Supermoto of Nations and will be on track on a factory TM.

 

In the Rookie, all eyes will be on three riders who are still technically battling it out for the title: Jan Ulman, Tom Bessieres and Gabin Pernat. It will be challenging to keep an eye on them till the very final inch.

 

Last but not least, the SM Junior and its thrilling finale. After two consecutive setbacks Ukrainian Yevsevii Kovalov will have to win the final round to secure the title and prove his superiority.

 

Despite the World Title being already achieved there are still many challenges open. The Mettet appointment will be packed with emotions, adrenaline and a great show worthy of the grand finale of the 2025 Supermoto World Championship.
