Mettet (Belgium) 11 October – After losing pole position Marc-Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) was the fastest rider at the city circuit of Mettet with two perfect races. Lukas Hollbacher (Schruf Racing) took second place and Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse) was third. Mattia Rato (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse) was the revelation of the Rookies Cup and winner of both races.
Race One
Marc-Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) pulled away perfectly at the start of the first moto and took the lead in the first corner followed by Lukas Hollbacher (Schruf Racing ). Italian Mattia Rato (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse), revelation of the race, moved to third place after an amazing start from the second row.
It seemed like Marc-Reiner Schmidt could move far but his Austrian chaser found a solid race pace and moved very close to the German rider. Hollbacher tried throughout the race to overtake the race leader, but Schmidt never gave him a chance and came home determined with the first success of the weekend. After battling it out for third place Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse) prevailed over rivals despite a poor start, but the rider worked his way up and recovered several positions. Elia Sammartin (BRT Honda Redmoto) was fourth and fifth place went to Julen Avial Cortes (MTR Ktm Racing).
Mattia Rato ended the day with an excellent sixth place overall and was the winner of the Rookies Cup.
