Albaida – March 28th – The two preparatory categories, S2 and SM Junior, have delivered the first results of the season. After an excellent 2025 debut in the S2 class, Nathan Terraneo (Yamaha) takes home the first pole position of the season. Second place goes to the Ukrainian Yevsevii Kovalov (KTM), and third to Leonardo Lapadula (Team 11). In the SM Junior category, Lorenz Bang (KTM) was the fastest.
S2 Free Practice:
Yevsevii Kovalov (KTM), the reigning SM Junior champion, has moved up a category and immediately set the fastest lap on his KTM 2-stroke during the first practice sessions of the season. Behind him, an excellent Leonardo Lapadula (Team 11), who has shown great improvement since last season, recorded the second-fastest time. In third place, Nathan Terraneo (Yamaha) used these initial practice sessions to get comfortable with his new bike after switching brands. Following his strong finish to the 2025 season, the Swiss rider is considered one of the title contenders.

S2 Time Practice:
Nathan Terraneo gave the impression of being the fastest rider on track right from the first laps of qualifying; the Swiss rider rode with determination and precision, securing pole position. Yevsevii Kovalov, who finished behind him, managed to keep the gap to just over a tenth of a second, and these two riders will be the protagonists of Sunday’s two heats. In third position is Leonardo Lapadula, while the second row features the Spaniard Max Serra Ginestra (Honda), Mark Kuca Iovita (GasGas), and Noah Champagne (TSV Racing), who could join the fight for the podium if they manage to stay close to the top three.

SM Junior Free Practice:
In the SM Junior class, David Zsolt Bereczki (Husqvarna), in his second season aboard his Husqvarna 85cc, seems to have a different pace compared to his rivals, building up massive gaps over his opponents. Second place went to Edward Darton (TSV Racing) and third to Jean Rondeaux (TM Moto).

As has often been the case, the SM Junior class is unpredictable; taking pole position is the German rider Lorenz Bang (KTM), who managed to stay ahead of Bereczki by just 30 thousandths of a second. In third place is Mark Szabo, though with a significant gap. These three young riders on the front row will put on a great show for the large crowd expected to flock to the Albaida circuit.
