Sankt Wendel (Germany) 26 September — Incredible crowd setting in this edition of the Trophy of Nations which for the first time runs on a street circuit in Sankt Wendel, Germany. France conquers the first day’s qualification with the victory of Steve Bonnal and the excellent performance of Sylvain Bidart. In the Junior class, great performance by Eddy Frech and Germany.

The 2026 Nations opens with the S1oN qualifications on the street circuit of Sankt Wendell in Germany. In the timed session, the pole position was fought for by Steve Bonnal (France) against Marc Reiner Schmidt (Germany). As for the rest of the season, the two riders are battling both to secure the best time and to prevail over each other. In third place is Milan Sitniansky (Czech Republic), who once again proves to be very fast. Fourth place goes to Elia Sammartin (Italy), fifth place to a veteran of this sport, Sylvain Bidart (France), who despite no longer being a youngster is always in the upper positions of the standings. Closing out the second row is Nico Jonnidis (Germany).

Qualifying race S1oN –Rider 1-Rider2-Rider3
As the race gets underway, Steve Bonnal manages to hold onto first position and leads the pack for a few laps, closely followed by Marc Reiner Schmidt. An excellent start for Elia Sammartin, who gains third position at the expense of Milan Sitniansky. In front of his home crowd, Marc Reiner Schmidt gets fired up, tails the Frenchman who makes a mistake with a slip, leaving the way clear for the home favorite. Schmidt sets an incredible pace and takes a slight lead, but unfortunately, the German rider also falls victim to a crash that relegates him to third position. With a clear track ahead of him, Steve Bonnal can dominate the race and take the win, while Marc Reiner Schmidt was nevertheless able to recover by overtaking Elia Sammartin in the closing stages of the race to finish second. In the Nations standings, France takes the lead, followed by Germany, with the Czech Republic in third.

In the S1oN Junior class, it is Eddy Frech (Germany) who was extremely fast; we remember him last year during the world championship round right here in Sankt Wendel being very close to the top riders of the category, second position for Gabin Pernat (France), and rounding out the front row is Eemeli Astedt (Finland).

Qualifying S1oN Junior race:
Gabin Pernat, with an incredible burst of speed, manages to dive into the inside of the first corner, crossing the line in first place. Eddy Frech, the author of a poor start, lost several positions and had to work hard to make up ground; the German rider, who turned out to be the fastest on the track, took 6 laps to move to the head of the group. Frech impressed with his speed and in a few laps built a huge lead that allowed him to complete the final laps in peace without anyone being able to trouble him. Behind him, great battles for second place saw Melvin Viola (France) claim it, followed by the other German, Paul Mueller. The nations standings see Germany excel ahead of France and Switzerland.
