A great show of strength for Nathan Terraneo (Yamaha), who made the most of the front row secured in qualifying and, with a lightning start, immediately took the lead. In the opening laps, the Swiss rider kept a very high pace and built a large advantage over his rivals, allowing Terraneo to manage his race in the best possible way and win comfortably. Behind him, there was a great battle between Noah Champagne (TSV Racing) and Leonardo Lapadula (Team 11); the two riders swapped positions several times during the heat, with Lapadula eventually getting the better of his contender. SM Junior Race 1
Great start for Edward Darton (TSV Racing), who took the lead at the first corner, while David Zsolt Berezcki (Husqvarna) had to settle right behind the rear wheel of the English rider, with third position going to Jean Rondeaux (TM Moto). Championship leader Mark Szabo (KTM) struggled to keep the pace of the top three and had to settle for fourth place. The lead duo immediately built a small gap; Darton seemed able to manage first position, but behind him Berezcki did not give up, putting pressure on him throughout the heat. This paid off on the final lap, as he made his move, pulled off the overtake, and won the heat. David Zsolt Berezcki recovered points in the standings and is now just 11 points behind leader Mark Szabo; they will battle for the title in tomorrow’s final heat.
