Time practice & Superpole S1GP
Great show in the S1GP qualifying. In the first session, Q1, riders took to the track for their initial laps on rain tires, but quickly realized they could head out on slicks. Marc Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) immediately set the fastest time, followed by Elia Sammartin (BRT Racing) in second, and Julen Avila Cortes (KTM MTR Racing) in third. Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing) did not push to the limit in Q1 to avoid excessive tire wear, settling for the sixth fastest time—still enough to advance to Q2.
The second qualifying session opened with a terrifying crash in the off-road section by Julen Avila Cortes, fortunately with no serious consequences for the rider. The fight for the fastest time became a head-to-head battle between Marc Reiner Schmidt and Steve Bonnal, separated by just a few thousandths of a second. However, under the checkered flag, Julen Avila Cortes set the second fastest time despite complaining of leg pain.
Steve Bonnal was the first to hit the track for the Metzeler Superpole, putting together an incredible lap despite a mistake in the final section, shaving nearly a second off his Q2 time. Grit-toothed Julen Avila Cortes took to the track but couldn’t beat the Spaniard. Last to head out was Marc Reiner Schmidt, who made a few errors and had to settle for third position.

Race One
A hectic start for Race One, with Marc Reiner Schmidt charging from third on the grid to take the lead into the first corner, closely followed by an outstanding Elia Sammartin. Steve Bonnal failed to capitalize on his pole position, dropping two spots. On the opening lap in the off-road section, Bonnal and Sammartin nearly made contact, allowing Milan Sitiniansky to capitalize and move up to second place.
Schmidt and Sitiniansky (Tuning Motor Sport) quickly built a slight lead. The Czech rider looked able to match the German’s pace, but only for a few laps before Schmidt upped the tempo, pulling away to gain precious seconds and secure victory in the weekend’s opening race. From mid-race onwards, Elia Sammartin managed to close the gap to Sitiniansky lap after lap; in the closing stages, he looked poised to challenge for second position, but couldn’t make the pass. Steve Bonnal finished in fourth place. In the Rookies Cup, victory went to Jan Ulman (Two4Two Fantic Racing), who won on his return following a period out due to injury.
